    Lonesome Pine Raceway

Went to LPIR (or is it just LPR) tonight for the first time in ages thanks to my dad's company picnic. I must say, I was rather entertained with some of the racing tonight. I left with still 2 races on the docket, but wish I could've stayed. At 10:45, it was getting late for my 4 year old.

The last race I watched was a real good one. Not sure what the level was called, but it had a 17 year old girl named Megan Rittenour who ran rather well and finished 3rd.

My only complaint is that they started a little too late and have too much talking and not enough racing.

Man I was very entertained as well. That girl can drive! If only the a**hole in the #63 wouldn't have retaliated and spun her out again she would have won. He did not have nowhere the car she had. She kept her car on the yellow line all night long. I thought it was rather hilarious with all the drunk guys that were going crazy over her. There isn't anything like a bunch of pissed off coal miners...haha.

We left before the late model cars went out. I haven't been there in years, but if the racing is like that every weekend, I would highly reccommend anyone going. You get your money's worth.

Yeah, she definitely had the best car in the race. Even when the #63 broke out to a couple second lead, she kept her car on the yellow while his drifted up. Too bad they wrecked in turn 4 or she would have passed him and took off. He obviously wrecked her intentionally the next time though.

I think the #71 driver, that finished 2nd, was a 17 year old guy as well. I think that was the Lonnie Rush Sr. owned car. The Rush's have had affiliation with A&G Coal in the truck series.

The night at the track last night was sponsored by A&G Coal.
